Stay True by LouiseMcNaught Stay True by LouiseMcNaught
Acrylic and oil on canvas, 80x80x2cm (2012)
This piece is symbolic of inner strength, transformation and being true to yourself. I feel I have recently gone through a period of growth and learning, and though it has been painful the learning curve has taught me to be true to myself...
It has also been commented that this piece reminds people from a scene in the film Snow White and the Huntsman when she meets the Forest God - a giant white stag which she shares a moment with before it is shot and dissapates into butterflies, which is supposed to be symbolic of her purity....

So amazing. I am at a loss for words. I saw the smaller version on your icon and I wanted to see if I could find a bigger version. I'm glad I did. I love how it fades into the background and I love the butterflies sitting on his antlers. Once again, this is really beautiful. Great job.
